New Year's Eve might seem like it's in the distant future but it's only a few short weeks away. And although you are still trying to wrap your head around the fact that it's Christmas again, you also need to start making plans for New Year's.
We all know New York is the city that never sleeps, making it the perfect place to spend New Year's Eve this year.
Not only do they host the traditional ball dropping we watch with envy via T.V., but the whole town boasts the iconic NYE experience. Lining the streets with thousands of your fellow Americans to party and toast the beginning of a new year. And when the cold finally makes you lose all feeling in your extremities, you can head indoors for holiday amusement.
The potential for fun is boundless with rooftop parties, elegant balls, and clubs open all night long.
BEST PLACES TO STAY FOR A MEMORABLE NYC CELEBRATION
Las Vegas is always a go-to for any party, and New Year’s Eve is no different. Every year hundreds of thousands of people flock to the party city, where the Strip is transformed into one large block party.
At midnight you won’t be entertained with just one fireworks show, instead all of the Strip casinos choreography a huge inter-casino fireworks display. Indoors you will find no limit to the entertainment; there are celebrity shows, clubs, and dancing that take place throughout the city until the sun rises.
BEST PLACES TO STAY FOR A SIN CITY NEW YEAR'S
When you think New Orleans you usually think Mardi Gras, but the Big Easy has more to offer than just parades and beaded necklaces.
The party on NYE is in the French Quarter, where you can get amazing food and fabulous cocktails all night long. As the countdown begins you’ll want to be in Jackson Square where instead of a giant disco ball, a fleur-de-lis will drop from a 25-foot pole while fireworks explode all around.
If you’re lucky you can even watch the fireworks show as it reflects right off the waters of the Mississippi.

If you're looking for a more family-friendly environment, you won't find anything like Walt Disney World's New Year's celebration.
The food alone is to die for; some of the best include meals at Monsieur Paul or enjoying your own private bartender and dessert bar at the Atlantic Dance Hall.
The park stays open late, all the way until 1:00 am, but the fun starts as soon as the park opens. Of course, at midnight there is a fireworks show and a unique Cirque du Soleil performance. There are also dance parties, live music and entertainment, and the occasional confetti explosion throughout the day.
Unfortunately, New Year's Eve is one of their busiest days of the year so plan accordingly.
