The main drama in the movie takes place at a New Year’s Eve party, right while the country of Cuba is about to embark on a revolution, the scene really couldn’t be more fit for drama.

For those feeling a little down on their luck, recovering from a relationship drama or who simply love Bridget Jones, the Bridget Jones Diary is a perfect way to set up for the New Year. The film truly is perfect as it begins on New Year’s Day and then ends on the very next New Year’s Eve; regardless the bunny outfit at the garden party scene is enough to watch the film on its own. Perhaps it will even inspire you to keep a diary of all your escapades for the following year?
